We found the neglected boat for sale. It is a small sailing cabin boat, fibreglass hull with a fixed keel, but it had no mast, sails or rigging and some interior wood structures needed replacing. We restored the inside damage, removed the keel and fitted two removable pontoons. As a trimaran we restored stability and we needed it to be able to cruise in shallow waters. Furthermore we built a structure above on the boat to fit an array of solar panels. It is essentially a day cruiser, using only the sun’s energy as propulsion. We did numerous expeditions with it.
