Evoy electric boat motors signs up 1st international dealer
Norwegian electric boat motor manufacturer Evoy had a busy METSTRADE. In addition to showing off their Breeze 120+ hp electric outboard on aTideman RBB 700 EOB workboat, they signed a deal for their first international sales and service dealer with Netherlands outfit The Green Wave.
The Green Wave has dealer rights for Benelux and Northern France and will handle sales, service, installation, and parts-supply for Evoy’s ‘plug and play’ range of inboard and outboard electric motors for leisure and commercial marine markets, within the region.
The Green Wave business model is centred entirely upon the electric and hybrid sail and motorboat market, with the company offering a full range of sustainable power alternatives, from the ultra-light weight Temo 450, all the way up to Evoy’s 120hp, 200hp and 300hp outboard range and their mighty 400hp inboard motor.

Evoy CCO Marte Rostrup Hofset said: “We are growing fast as a company and have received interest from several hundred dealerships and sales agents that would like to work with us, from around the world. The ‘perfect’ dealer needs to be strategically well located, preferably within a marina environment they own, and with a charging infrastructure already in place, or soon to be installed.
The Green Wave is part of a unique complex – The Boatshed – which includes boat slips and showroom as well as living and working and event spaces all dedicated to the concept of sustainable living.
“The synergy between the two companies could not be better” said The Green Wave’s Eric Caroen. “Evoy is one of the brands that can deliver a finished product in series production, which is incredibly important in a market where boat builders and shipyards must be able to count on a stable supplier that can meet agreed delivery dates.
As the agreement unfolds, Evoy will be providing on-site training to The Green Wave staff on all maintenance protocols and every technical aspect of their motors, including the ability to retrofit Evoys to both existing and brand-new hulls.
With Benelux and Northern France now taken care of, Hofest says Evoy is interested in talking to more potential dealer partners that share the company’s long-term vision and environmental commitment to bringing about a complete ‘step-change in boating attitudes’.
Countries of particular interest are the UK, Italy, Germany, the south of France and the Nordic regions. Further afield, EVOY are looking to establish sales & dealer representation in the USA, Canada and Australia.
