Columbia Marine is an authorized dealer and service center for Torqeedo Electric Outboards, Qwest Compact Pontoons by Apex Marine and Vision Marine Technologies electric boats. We specialize in Electric Pontoon and fishing boats. While centrally located in the quite corner of Connecticut, we serve a broad area that encompasses a large area of the North Eastern United States.
We are one of Torqeedo’s oldest and largest Full Line service centers in the US for all Torqeedo products including kayak motors, outboards, inboards and pods. We have been certified by Torqeedo since 2010.

This durable and extremely robust design is perfect for sailboats, motorboats and commercial applications up to 12 tons. Available with remote throttle (R) or tiller (T) control, in 3 kW, 6 kW, 10 kW and 12 kW versions – with a variety of shaft lengths to accommodate a wide range of applications.
License friendly:
The Cruise 4.0 R has a shaft performance of 3.5 kW or 4.7 hp that puts it under the regulation threshold for many inland lakes (e.g. 5 hp). Yet, due to the super-efficient propeller it has the propulsive power of an 8 hp gas outboard (relating to boats in displacement drive). Its static thrust is as strong as a 9.9 hp internal combustion engine.

Deep Blue is the first and only series-production high-power electric drive system for motorboats and offers exceptional performance, high safety standards and easy operation.

Cruise Pod Drives for Motorboats and Sailboats
The Cruise FP models are installed in a fixed position (therefore the abbreviation FP – fixed pod) as generally desired for sailboats and also for some motorboats. The electric pod motors for sailboats are available with folding propellers. Other boats would choose our standard, highly efficient propellers. Choose from performance classes from 3 to 12 kW, which correspond to the propulsive power of 6 to 25 HP combustion engines.

The most powerful electric saildrives come from Torqeedo series production and offer a Perfectly matched system integration rather than an assortment of components. The Deep Blue 25 SD propels sail yachts of up to 40 feet in length to speeds of up to almost ten knots (18 km/h), or smaller boats even faster when planing.
This makes cruising with large sail yachts completely emission-free with virtually no noise or vibration. The Deep Blue 50 SD offers twice the performance. The Deep Blue sail drive is part of a completely integrated comprehensive system that was developed using industrial engineering methods, comprises high-tech components and which is manufactured in series production.
